Set up my Ecomail mailbox on Thunderbird for mobile

Set up your Ecomail mailbox on the mobile version of Thunderbird.

Thunderbird is one of the most reliable and comprehensive open-source applications. Always open source and translated into multiple languages, it is therefore the recommended application for using Ecomail on Android mobile.

Follow the steps below to set up your email account on Thunderbird for mobile:

  1. Install and launch the Thunderbird application (click here to go to the Play Store).

  1. Click on “Get Started.”

  2. Then click on “Add an email account now.”

  1. The application asks for your email address. Enter your Ecomail email and click on “Next.” Thunderbird mobile indicates that the configuration was not found, click again on next.

  1. The application now asks for the incoming server settings.
    Protocol: IMAP
Server: the name of your IMAP server (find your server name here)
    Security: SSL/TLS
    Port: 993
    Authentication: Normal password
    Username: your full email address
    Password: its password
    Client certificate: none

    Then click on “Next.”

  1. The application now asks you for the outgoing server settings.
    Server: smtp.ecomail.fr
    Security: StartTLS
    Port: 587
    Authentication: Normal password
    Username: your full email address
    Password: its password
    Client certificate: None

    Then click on “Next”.

  1. On the next screen, you can enter the display options for the mailbox in the application.
Account name: the account name that will appear in the application.
Your name: your first and last name or the name of your association or company
Signature: optional, a signature of your choice.

    Then click on “Next”.

  1. At the next step, the application asks you to configure automatic email retrieval. Choose a frequency and whether or not to display notifications.

  1. If this is the first time you are launching the application, it will then ask you to grant access permissions to contacts and notifications. Depending on your choice, click on the “Allow” buttons and then confirm the choice.

  1. Once done, click on “Next”.

Your mailbox is now configured on Thunderbird for mobile!
